Our worlds came together
Before long, they were starting to become fully immersed in each other’s lives and friendships. Kaitlyn met the GT crew and found herself in the world of triathlons, while Jack was regularly dragged around downtown Denver.
And then there were three
And then came Maverick, Jack’s real one true love.
Back where it began
Jack proposed at 10 Barrel Brewing (same spot as our COVID first date). Same place, much less awkward date.
Home is wherever we’re together.

The small, easy option. It’s a short drive down the valley to both The Hythe and the ranch. Fewer flights land here, so it pays to book early.

Check in at
We have a block of rooms held at The Hythe, right in Lionshead Village. Stroll to dinner, ride the gondola, then head down the valley to the ranch for the big day.

If you’ve got a little time
The Eagle Bahn Gondola leaves from Lionshead, a short walk from The Hythe, and climbs to Eagle’s Nest. Up top: big Gore Range views, easy trails, and lunch with a view.

Pedestrian-only cobblestone streets, the covered bridge over Gore Creek, and plenty of patios. Browse spots like Gorsuch and Patagonia, then grab a coffee by the firepit at Gorsuch Cafe.

Ease in with the 0.7-mile Eagle’s Loop and its Mount Holy Cross views, or earn a waterfall on Booth Creek Falls: 4.2 miles and about 1,350 feet of climbing. The altitude is real, so pack water.
Trail guide
Gore Creek runs right through town, with a Gold Medal stretch, and the Eagle River flows past Wolcott. Outfitters like Gore Creek Fly Fisherman and Vail Valley Anglers run guided trips with gear included. Anglers 16 and up need a Colorado fishing license.

Vail Golf Club is public, right in town, and plays 7,024 yards at par 71 with Gore Range views. For something more relaxed, Eagle-Vail in Avon adds a nine-hole par-3 course.
